Cameron Jones

Chartered Financial Planner and Senior Paraplanner

About Cameron

After graduating with a first-class honours degree from the University of South Wales in Accounting and Finance, I set my sights on working in the financial services profession.

I’ve now worked in finance for nine years, and have achieved Chartered status with the Personal Finance Society.

I have extensive knowledge and experience with pensions, both defined benefit and defined contribution. I also helped develop one of the most popular cashflow modelling tools in the UK, and provided one-on-one training on cashflow software and various other planning tools to a network of financial advisers.

I don’t specialise in dealing with any particular type of client, as each client has their own complexities that make each case interesting from a knowledge application viewpoint.

Cameron outside of work

I’m a published author, with my book “My Little Dragon” hitting shelves in 2023. I continue to write various stories, but have yet to complete my next piece of work.

Reading new books, writing ideas, and thinking about stories is how I typically unwind in my spare time.

Outside of my writing, I’m a fan of both the NFL and Formula 1. I’ve been to live events for both sports in London, and hope to see more in the future.

Cameron in the spotlight

My proudest moment as
an IFA has been…

Achieving Chartered status.

The three things I love
most about my job are…

Meeting new people and hearing their stories, helping people achieve their goals, and meeting other people in the industry and discussing best practice.

The types of people I
most enjoy working with are…

Business owners looking to make an exit from their firm and start their retirement. I find these people most interesting as they have long histories of hard work, with long hours getting their company to a point where they feel they can step away. As a planner, we can then join them for the best part of their journey, enjoying their reward.
